The stock PCV on the TFSI engine is quite fragile and over time, or when running lots of boost, the diaphragm inside can rip which can result in excessive blowby entering the inlet manifold at idle (smoking from the tailpipe) or a loss of boost when driving, which can cause other problems.
Traditionally a catch can is fitted to remove the PCV entirely and catch the oil vapours from the engine but if you want a cheaper and more simple solution you can delete the PCV and divert the breathing to the rear cam cover outlet only, by using the AKA Motorsport PCV Delete kit.
The kit comes complete with all parts necessary for installation.
