APR ignition coils have been developed as a direct plug-and-play replacement for the factory ignition coils and offer a higher energy output, ensuring a stronger and more consistent spark.

It is generally assumed that the installation of ignition coils from Audi RS models, such as the 2.5 TFSI, results in a more constant ignition spark, i.e. fewer misfires, as these ignition coils are stronger. However, tests have shown that they are no more powerful than the standard ignition coils from the 1.8T and 2.0T engines. APR ignition coils increase the energy output by 10%, ensuring the spark is created even on highly performance cars, are a real upgrade for your engine and come in three desirable colours red, blue and grey. The red ignition coils are familiar to many from the Audi R8.
